Joe is a man beaten down by the world of architecture. He destroyed himself by working three jobs for 6 years to get an architectural degree. He now works for an architecture firm, but is dismayed to find that he has no creative outlet there. He just spends all day copying other people's blueprints into a CAD programs. Seeking a change, he reluctantly decides to move in with his best friend Yuki.

Yuki is a carefree soul who lets the wind take him where they may. While he is relatively worry-free, his nonchalant attitude constantly gets him into trouble. His lack of focus and drive have led him to living in a shabby one bedroom apartment and a crappy job at the mega bookstore, Farms & Royalty. Seeing as how his minimum wage job was unable to pay the bills, he agreed to let his best friend Joe move in.
