"Birthday was fun" Thursday June 26th 2008

I don't have a whole lot to say about today's comic. I'm happy with the way it came out even if I think there are some small problems here and there. As far as the story goes, all I can say is that things are about to go down in a big way. In actuality, the scene you are going to see next was initially tabbed to come before this comic. I felt that it threw off the pacing so when I added the extra fight sequence from last comic I also reordered and touched up the script for this and the next few comics. This might not make sense right now, but it should make sense when you read next week's comic. I just don't want to say more because I don't want to ruin any surprises.

My birthday was not super crazy, but I did end up getting some really cool gifts. George, Michelle, and Colleen got me tickets to the San Francisco V Mets game in two weeks. If the rotation stays the same for the next two weeks, that game should be a Tim Lincecum start and that would be AWESOME. My brother also might get tickets for the game the night before. I'm thinking of going to the game extra early in either case in order to try for an autograph from any Giant. Or a baseball. I also got some mad awesome fanart from FatHobbit. It was a throwback picture of the characters during the time period of the first chapter. It was really sweet and I'm actually using it for my desktop image right now. : ) Anyway I also went out for dinner with my family and that was cool.

I think that's about it for me for now. Sorry I don't have much else to report. I spent most of the night watching the Giants lose to the Indians. Though Matt Cain wasn't spot on, I can't blame him for the loss. Lee was pitching out of his fricking mind. The good thing to take from this is that the Giants won two games (one of which most Giants fans were sure they would lose) to take the series after the debacle of Tim Franchise's last start. Ugh... I ended up catching it later in the night on MLBTV archive and was happy the Giants were up 10-5 when my dad strolls in after work and is like "the Giants lost 11-10!" F ME...
