"Happy Birthday to my brother!" Thursday May 29th 2008

It's a week later from my mom's birthday and that can only mean one thing... it's my brother's birthday! So happy birthday to my bro. Thanks for nothing buddy. Heh... Inside joke. Anyway I hope you had a good one and that you don't puke your brains out trying to run a marathon this weekend.

As you can see in the comic we have switched away from the park/gazebo setting and are now back in the familiar confines of the Sierra Nevadas. I know it's not raining, but I figure it's far enough away from Kawasaki and high enough in altitude that the weather is a bit nicer. You should all also know by now that the Sierra Nevadas is where the Fuzen base is located. Dave makes his first appearance of Chapter six here with his radically different hair cut. It appears as if Dave has gone against the plan to meet up with the others in an effort to rescue Julienne. That brings in the initial Chapter 6 appearance of Tom as he is apparently here to stop Dave from doing so. I really like the new Ch 6 look of both characters. I think both Joe and Tom are two character designs that just keep getting better and better as I go forward in this comic. I think the only time I really didn't like a change was the one for Tom between Chapter 3 and 4. Anyway Tom and Dave are engaged in a sort of impasse now and all I can ask is... do you think this is going to end peacefully? Expect some craziness to ensue for the rest of the summer pretty much.

I figure I should probably give you an update on my finger/nerve situation. It is most likely CTS. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? No no... Why would I have something that everyone else has and can give me some good advice on? No My CTS stands for Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. Basically my Ulnar nerve is being irritated in my elbow through some godless reason. For now I have to try and keep my elbow straight as much as I can. This proves to be a problem working in a bar or working on a webcomic on a weekly basis. However it hasn't gotten any worse except for the fact that it now hurts to put pressure on the pinky side tip of my ring finger. Not so much a problem unless I try to play say... bass or Guitar Hero. Luckily I am more an artist than a musician. Anyway that's the update and I'll let you know if it gets better or worse. Thanks to everyone who sent emails with suggestions on what could be wrong with me!

Okay I think that's about it for now. I will be back next week with another comic so until then have a great weekend and week thereafter!
