"More Moving craziness" Thursday
May 1st 2008
Okay this is going to be quick because this is one of those times
when I needed to get to bed an hour or so ago. First off the comic... I
enjoyed writing this one. I rewrote the script a few times. I cut it
down from the original because it was way too wordy. Then I had to
reword it a bit to give the same impact as the non cut version. Then I
just wasn't happy with the middle part because I couldn't get the
emotion right for Key. She's trying to be strong, but at the same time
she kind gets a slight intuition that Yuki might be rejecting her. So
even though she was ready to be over him, she is scared or doesn't want
to hear Yuki say that he doesn't like her. Up to now, Key's been kind of
a very nice and very giving person, but now you can see some more of the
insecurities she keeps bottled up inside.
The end of this comic also took a rewrite. The original script had
Joe arriving earlier in the comic and after seeing Yuki and Key
embracing immediately goes into beat down mode. For some reason when it
came time to draw the comic, I couldn't picture the sequence. However
that's when I got the image of Joe standing in the rain and I had to use
it. It doesn't have the same impact, but it seemed to fit Joe's
personality more on what he would do.
Okay now a short blurb of this crazy week. I ended up moving into a
bigger room in my house. It took all week, but I'm finally moved over.
The bad part was that it really made me late on my comic schedule. I'd
say about a day or two late. So hence this shortened post. Just wanted
to mention that I'm probably going to go check out the Japanese Festival
at the Bronx Botanical Garden this weekend. Hopefully it kicks ass. The
weather hasn't been the greatest here and my hope is that it stays dry
and that there are still cherry blossoms in bloom.
Anyway I hope you all have a great weekend as well and I will see you
all back next week.
River's On Notice List
1. LA Dodgers (F you Joe Torre and the rest of your puppy killing line
up.)
2. The Root of All Evil (This show really pisses me off. To try and
argue that Tila Tequila is the root of all evil compared to a dangerous
mad man like Kim Jong Il, is dimwitted at best and offensive and
insulting at worst. I don't care that Lewis Black ruled in favor of Kim
Jong Il... anyone in their right mind should go that way lest they
insult all the people that faced torture, kidnapping, and worse at the
hands of this crazy SOB. Who the F is Tila Tequila?! [That was a
rhetorical question].)
3. Lack of Sleep (F you moving)
4. An umpire who acknowledges a Time Out call, but then still calls a
balk. (F the guy who cost Timmy Franchise his last game with a crap
call.)
5. Barry Zito (I am one of the few Giants fans that had been very
lenient about Zito, however his last start made me want to Robert DeNiro
from 'The Fan' his ass.)
