"That was unexpected..." Thursday
March 13th, 2008
Okay I am fricking ready to pass out. As you can see I didn't get the
special NS Birthday Filler finished. I had this really neat idea in mind
and somewhere around midnight, that idea turned into something beyond
neat. It is now a super huge project and it's abut 3/4s finished. I'm
going to upload it most likely on Monday and that will be the update for
the week because it's pretty much burnt me out. Regardless, be ready for
the first of a kind from Ninja Spirit when you hit the site on Monday.
Now I would also be remiss in saying that the above filler was
graciously done by Rob. He actually didn't even tell me what he created
and simply told me that I had messed up last week's comic and he had
corrected it for me. Now, mind you, Rob has very helpfully pointed out
grammatical and graphical errors for me in the past. However, I was
pretty sure I had done a pretty spot on job of checking everything for
the last comic of Chapter 5. I was like 'there is no f'in way I made a
mistake... hold on let me go see before you tell me what I did.'. I then
proceeded to open my email and found the altered Panel 8 from above. I
can't even begin to describe how hard I was laughing from the shock. I
had never intended to bring back Scott Baio into the comic, but I guess
you can't hold Chachi down. So anyway thanks to Rob for helping me have
some filler up so I could continue working on this crazy project I
suddenly decided to undertake.
Other than the comic, it's actually been a really bad week for me. My
brother had to get surgery on Monday for the cheek and sinus bones he
smashed in when we went skiing/ snowboarding two weeks ago. It's a long
story and I will go more into it in my next post so I can get some
sleep. The short of it is I spent Monday and Tuesday at the hospital.
There's a whole other thing, but I think I'll wait till Monday before I
started talking about it. It's something that I feel I should be more
awake to give it the proper attention it needs.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend, and remember to take
care of yourselves and your loved ones! I will see you back for that
now-rare Monday update!
River's Favorite 5 TV Shows From the 80's
1. Airwolf (Stringfellow Hawke is the greatest name ever)
2. Knight Rider (Michael Knight was not... though Kitt more than made up
for it)
3. A*Team (The A*Team was making something out of nothing a few years
before MacGuyver showed up)
4. Moonlighting (I have no idea why I loved this show, but I did)
5. ALF (It was close between this and Family Ties, but I guess I'm a
sucker for puppets)
