"Late to the party" Thursday February 21st, 2008

Okay so here we are back to the normal art and such. I think this pretty much ties in the myth from the previous comic into the comic storyline. Amatsu's plan is to release Izanami and thus causing the downfall of humans everywhere. It seems everyone is fired up and they are not going to take this revelation without a fight. I don't think that there is much else to talk about in this comic. Again was this the big surprise I had promised? Only two comics left before the end of chapter in which you will find your answer.

One final note about this comic is that I had two drawings done for the last panel. The one in the comic is the one I had sketched originally. I didn't think it was up too snuff so i decided to draw it again. The second sketch was of the 5 ninjas from a low table top perspective as their heads circled the outside of the panel. It's a classic Saint Seiya group coming together panel and I wanted to do the homage. However I felt that the original sketch would better fit the words and seemed to embody the feeling I was looking for so I went back and finished that one. Anyway there's a small aside into some of the work and thoughts that go into making Ninja Spirit.

In other news I want to say that Lost is fricking awesome. I think the fact that they finalized when the show will end only helped focus the writers in the story they are telling. The season so far has been awesome and it's probably been the strongest season since the first on the merit of the first few shows. Other than that I guess I suppose comment that I'm glad the writer's strike is over. As long as the writer's feel they got a good deal, then all the power to them. Me getting to watch 24 wasn't as important as making sure people who take their time to create something get their just compensation. And no, I wasn't saying that in a sarcastic tone.

I'm actually finishing this rant and paragraph Friday morning and it's snowing like it's Syracuse outside. Wonderful. Well I have to go shovel and such so enjoy the comic and the no snow if you are some place warm. I will see you next week and if any of my relatives in Japan happen to show up and read the comic, thanks for the support!
