"Yes, I know..." Thursday January 24th, 2008
...That some of you were expecting to see some huge battle start
raging forth, but unfortunately you'll have to hold off on that for now.
There are some cryptic things that are mentioned in this comic. Luckily
most of those will be explained before the chapter ends. One of which
will be done in dramatic fashion. However for now Yuki and the rest of
the gang have managed to protect the Yata Kagamina from falling into the
hands of Amatsu Mikaboshi. There was actually going to be more done from
Crescent Moon island in the form of another comic, but that's being
folded into the final few comics for the chapter. Three more scene
changes before things get wrapped up for Chapter 5. Next week, expect to
see the lone Fuzen sent on a side mission. Not only will you get to see
what he's been up to, but you'll also begin to see just what Amatsu
Mikaboshi has had planned to destroy mankind.
Though I know all the above is still a let down for those of you
expecting some action, I promise that Kimen and Mikail should see some
serious action come Chapter 6!
I've been battling this slight cold all week and it's finally
starting to subside a bit. Which is good, because it's been a pain in
the ass for a week. Ironically the latest Hajime no Ippo made me feel so
let down after a fight that was supposed to happen, didn't happen. How's
that for karma?
Oh and I did manage to see Cloverfield last weekend before I become
waylaid by this cold. I would give it a solid B+. I know some people
were worried about having to see a movie unfold through the lens of a
home video camera, but for the most part it was really well done. The
guy who ends up "filming" the movie was awesome and completely made the
filming seem really natural despite the craziness that was going on.
There were minor gripes along the way, but for the most part it was a
very entertaining movie that I didn't really have anything bad to say
about. Some people who were sitting in front of me were really upset
once the movie ended and I think it's because they were expecting some
sort of summer blockbuster action type movie. Cloverfield is NOT that
movie. It's meant to be seen as what would really happen if something
crazy like a giant monster attacking the city happened. Anyway, I
recommend it and as long as you try and get in the mood of trying to
imagine yourself in the situation on screen then you should have an
enjoyable time.
