"Back in the US of A!"
Thursday December 6th, 2007
And just like that Misaki Yuki is back in the Stateside as he returns
from his adventure in Japan in what can only be said to be the nick of
time. I'm sure many of you expected as much, but even when you expect
things, I suspect you can still feel a little pumped up. This is pretty
much the last fight of the chapter so expect me to pull out all the
stops. Even if you weren't surprised at Yuki's appearance, you might
still be surprised by the way this fight turns out.
I wanted to mention a few things though now that Yuki has made his
reappearance. First is that he was not scarred in his fight with Sydney.
He was cut into by the razor wire that had wrapped around his face, but
as you can see he's pretty much healed those wounds after spending what
you can imagine to be weeks with Tenko walking/boating back to the US in
the astral plane. Also Yuki did manage to get hooked up with a brand new
Inter jersey and his usual fight duds courtesy of Tenko as well. I can't
imagine where our favorite myobu kitsune found it all, but I imagine he
used the internet like the rest of us.
Not much else to say about this one besides the usual it took a few
practice sketches of Yuki before I got back into the swing of drawing
him since it's been a few weeks since I've had to do it. That and P4 was
a bitch to draw. It's still not really right in terms of perspective and
such, but that was about as good as I was going to get it without
driving myself crazy.
NEWS ALERT!!
Chances are I will be going to the
New York Anime Fest on
SATURDAY to check it
out. I seriously considered getting a table there, but it was more
expensive to get one at the NYAF then at Otakon. So I chucked that idea
and will probably just be wandering around like a guest. I should be
wandering around with a leather jacket and either a 5 Spot T Shirt or
Inter jersey with my NS messenger bag as well. As I did at Otakon, I will have a few comic panels blown up
and printed out on high quality photo paper that I will give out to
anyone who manages to find me. It's free and I will definitely sign them and
also answer any questions you may have. Considering I'm pretty familiar with
NYC, I will probably be eating some good eats in the city and any Ninja
Spirit fans are welcome to tag along off the beaten path.
Here is my picture so you know what I look like...

Again I will be at the NYAF this Saturday and will be handing out
free NS swag so if you see me definitely do not hesitate to say hi as I
am always happy to meet any fan of Ninja Spirit!!
