"Happy Thanksgiving!!" Thursday November 22nd, 2007

First let me just say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates the greatest holiday in the US calendar. I had a pretty good Thanksgiving and this year marked the first time I cooked Thanksgiving dinner. It was an all day process, but when the turkey came out at about 8PM it was all worth it. I had to concede letting my mom put her chestnut stuffing into the turkey, but it was still one of the juiciest turkeys I have ever eaten and the rest of the family agreed. Anyway I hope everyone got to enjoy turkey day and I want everyone who isn't around in the states to know that I thought of you all and I wish you all the best even if you have no turkey.

Now as for the comic...this was another comic that I don't think I had a problem with. Key continues to grow as a character and the feedback I have gotten from her development has been great. I'm glad a lot of you are enjoying it. I want to say that I really liked Sydney's lines in P8. I don't think the thought that she could even be harmed by Key crossed her mind once and her thoughts hopefully convey the right amount of incredulousness I was aiming for.

I was in the city this past weekend and got a chance to hang out with Dave. It was definitely good times. The last place we went was a place called Max Brenner's down on Broadway between 13th and 14th Street. It was recommended by my brother's friend Aaron and it was AWESOME!! It's basically a restaurant that specializes in chocolate dishes and I have to tell you I don't think I've ever had a chocolate shake that came close to being as good as the one from this place. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to eat dessert in NYC.

Also, Dave snagged me a copy of Jump Ultimate Stars while he was in Japan a few weeks ago and I finally got it and had a chance to play it. This game is SO frickin' awesome! It's probably my favorite DS game so far and it doesn't even really utilize the touch screen all that much. Everything about it kicks ass. Some of the mission parameters seem impossible, but I have yet to not complete every mission so far. It gets frustrating sometimes, but I like that it's hard, but beatable after a lot of persistence. That and I get to create a team containing my favorite Jump stars!!! Did I ever think I would have Seiya and Naruto teaming up with Captain Tsubasa and Hanamichi Sakuragi providing support? Is it super awesome that I can now? Hell YES! I know a lot of people enjoy this game without knowing most of the manga represented and to be honest I don't even know them all. However it really doesn't detract from the enjoyable game play and the ability to fashion teams of any character you unlock. Just a great game!

Well now that the holiday shopping season is amongst us I wish you all the best. Have a great holiday weekend and try not to get crushed while out shopping. The comic will be back next week and you'll get to see the results of the Burning Phoenix Escalation. This fight is about to take a very odd turn...
