"Ninja of Fukurokuju Kris Fox-Albrecht joins the Brawl!"
Thursday October 11th, 2007
I'm glad to have finally gotten this one done as it shows Kris in his
true form as the ninja of Fukurokuju. Unlike Sydney, Kentan, and Dawson,
Kris doesn't have to rely on having Amatsu's blood infused with his to
use spirit. I know that isn't necessarily new news, but I thought I'd
bring it up again to make sure no one was confused. Just why is the
ninja of Fukurokuju helping Amatsu Mikaboshi? That's a mystery that will
not be found out for quite some time. However, the truth behind Kris's
previously seen powers in earlier chapters is hinted at in this fight.
In other news I hope you all are enjoying the current TV season. I
gave you my grades and thoughts on the season a few posts ago, but I
figured I'd update the situation now that we are three shows in. The
best returning show so far has been Heroes. It's been solid every week
and it would get a A+ every week if it weren't for the Peter Petrelli
arc. I think the over/under on someone from Peter's "past" showing up to
turn his "new" life upside down is about 2 weeks. then we'll get either
the "He has to remember to save his new friends" or "the bad guy
forcefully makes him remember who he is." Eck.
The best new show is without a doubt Reaper. It has a near perfect
cast and the writing is a great combination of witty, fart joke type
humor, and brilliance. It's not the greatest show, but it's definitely a
great watch. I only hate that I can't watch it live since it's on as the
same time as House and I can't not watch Gregory House verbally browbeat
people in any given week.
Okay here's a somewhat longer House interlude...
At this point though I honestly hope they keep Cameron, Chase, and
Foreman in their cameo like appearances. Call me a radical, but I love
the Evil Bitch, Kumar, the Old Guy, the Mormon guy, and the one guy who
looks a little like a poor man's Steve Carell. I could do without the
crying chick who messed up last week since she reminds me like a
homeless man's Cameron. There's also a younger male doctor who I could
care less about. I guess I just like the scheming of the Evil Bitch, I
like the careless free thinking of Kumar, I LOVE the backstory of the
Old Guy, I like the puppy dog mentality the Mormon guy brings, and the
Poor Man's Steve Carell just looks like he should be a part of the group
because let's face it... when is having Steve Carell on your medical
team a bad thing? If they need to keep 3, then keep the Old Guy, Evil
Bitch, and then a free pass to any of the remaining doctors. I would
seriously enjoy House as much as I have if that was his team from now
on. Honestly in my mind all you need is the trifecta of House, Wilson,
and Cuddy and the show would always be great.
Well anyway it's time I get to sleep. I hope you all enjoy the
weekend and I will see you in a week when we continue on with the Dave
VS Kris fight. Before I go though, I will leave you with my five most
favorite albums of all time. Consideration was given also given to
Version 2.0, So Much For the Afterglow, Siamese Dream, Yourself and
Someone Like You, Heavy Gauge, Wax Ecstatic, and Under The Cork Tree.
