"Welcome back" Thursday September 20th, 2007

I know I said I'd try and get something done for Monday, but the project I had envisioned to take the place of the normal Monday comic was a little more intensive than I first imagined. Originally the source material was intended to fit into a side comic that spread out over 5 strips. For the new Monday content, I am trying to go with a completely different look and a much more detailed story than the original 5 strip idea. So as you can guess that project is a tad behind. I will try and get it up this upcoming Monday, but I make no promises.

Anyway here is the comic and I think it came out a lot better than the one from last week. I thought it would take longer to get back into the swing of things, but I am happy with how everything turned out in this comic. I was afraid that Sydney's power would look lame once I actually had it on the computer, colored, and with the FX added. However, it came out looking much like I had hoped. Sometimes these things work out and other times it just doesn't.

I wish I could say that we're continuing this fight with the next comic, but I think some of you might be wondering how the other heroes are doing so far. All I can say is that one fight is going to be over by the time you're reading the Thursday rant.

In other news I went to the San Gennaro Feast in New York City this past weekend with (breath in)...George, Michelle, Dave, Colleen, Tony, Carly, Nick, Nick's girlfriend, Melissa, and Melissa's boyfriend... (Gasp for air). According to my brother it was like every street fair that you see almost every other week in the city. Little did he know this one was being held in Little Italy and so it had something those other fair's didn't have... awesome Italian eats. It's times like this that I miss Joe because this had his name written all over it. It had a lot of fun and though it wasn't the Great NY State Fair, it more than made up for it by the people I was with.

That's about it for now and hopefully I will see you on Monday and if not then, Thursday! Have a great weekend everyone!
