"Welcome back" Thursday September 12th, 2007

Before I get to having the comic be back I want to take a moment to say that I have not and will not forget the events of 9/11. I still can't watch documentaries and reading stories about it still causes me to tear up. I can only offer my condolences and well wishes to those who lost loved ones and to those who still suffer to this day for their help on and after the tragedy. I want you to know that their loss and your efforts will always live on in my heart and I will always pay my respects for the rest of my life. Thank you.

It took forever and a day, but here is the continuation of Ninja Spirit. I want to really thank everyone for being patient and to those of you who sent well wishes I send you double the thanks. I'm not completely in love with how this comic came out and I think a lot of rust is evident in it. It took me double the time a comic normally takes and I don't know if it was because of rust or just a change in my mind itself from what happened to me. Still I am glad to finally be back and doing what I love to do and I hope you all feel that it was worth the wait.

As for the comic itself I think this is again an indication of just how evil Sydney can be. She sees Key as just some worthless nobody who she can't believe Yuki would choose over her. We all know that this isn't the case, but Sydney probably still wouldn't care. As beautiful as Sydney is, she is just as ugly on the inside. That being said, evil is always fun to write and draw so I always find enjoyment in any scene which includes Sydney. I like being able to draw someone who seems like they should be nice, but just makes you want to hate her. I'm happy every time I see hate directed toward her because it just shows that she strikes a nerve and that is always a good thing for writers.

I also wanted to mention Key because now that she is a main character, some of us might forget how small her role was in the beginning of the comic. In fact she was so unused that a club was started named KIND (Key Is Not Disposable). The club was started by the very first NS Forum Member that wasn't someone I knew, named Ashleigh. I don't know what she is doing nowadays, but hopefully she will be happy to see how far Key has come and grown as a character who is far from being disposable. I wish I could have told you all back then what would become of your little Key Lime, but hopefully you have enjoyed the unspoiled journey instead.

Okay now despite all the good news about the comic being back, I do have a bit of bad news for everyone. Due to the crazy time it took me to do this comic (I was hoping for it to be done for Monday, hence the lack of update earlier in the week), I am going to cut down the comic to once a week for the foreseeable future. I will post new comics on Thursday or Friday. I will keep a Monday update. Though it won't be a full comic, I hope to throw up a few images as well as some extra fun that you should enjoy and even fill up some of the NS backstory. Anyway I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you on hopefully an enjoyable new Monday update.
