"Progress" Wednesday September 5th, 2007

As you can see it's just more filler, but I will let you know that I have started drawing the comic again. It's just going very slowly because I have to draw when I am not feeling down and those times are getting further and further in between. I managed to draw a couple of panels from the next comic and I actually don't think they look horrible. I will aim to get it done in time for the Monday update and you can get a real comic!

Anyway I wanted to mention again that the basis of Julienne was taken from a friend of mine and while the Julienne character has deviated the most from the actual person, this is something that is very much a part of the real person. The real Julienne is a fantastic musician and I loved her songs that she wrote and performed all on her lonesome. She never put out an album of her own music as she ended up learning bass and becoming a bass player in a couple of bands. However if she ever did release an album, here is an imaginary cover. I'm not exactly super thrilled with it because I think something is off, but for now I think it's good enough.

I actually had a busy Labor Day weekend. I hung out with George, Michelle, and her friends. We went out to see the Bodies exhibit in NYC on Friday which was pretty cool. On Sunday we all went out to Montauk Point. We did some shopping and then went down to the beach to see the sun set. We kinda missed the sunset, but it was still mad awesome. Afterwards we took a bunch of goofy pictures, which is ALWAYS good times. It was nice hanging out with everyone with everything that's been going on recently.

We also went out to the movies tonight to see the Halloween remake. George nailed it right on the head by saying the movie up till the part where it starts remaking the original movie was mad awesome and then it just fell completely apart. Without spoiling the movie for you, the remake actually goes into more detail of Michael Myers before he breaks out of the psych ward and returns to Haddonfield to wreck havoc. You don't actually get into the events of the original Halloween till well into the movie. All that new stuff was really cool. Then when Rob Zombie moves into the original material, he kinda just goes all over the place. The things that were changed make no sense and it just gets ridiculous in the end. All in all I'd give it a C+.

Speaking of music, I forgot to mention that the Stealing Jane EP was released and it's really good. You can hear George playing bass!! Anyway check out their site and be sure to pick up your own copy of the Say Anything EP.

Oh and one last thing... I made a few MySpace pages as if they were created by the Ninja Spirit characters. You can check out Yuki's here and move on from there. I posted a few blogs where they fill out those survey type Bulletin Board lists so you can see how each of the characters would have answered. It's not really a big deal, but I guess it's a small detail in which you can further explore the characters of Ninja Spirit.

I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you next week!
