"Winter Again" Thursday August 30th, 2007

This filler was one of the last things I doodled before everything went down. It was a very rough drawing, but I managed to scan it and clean it up nicely. I was just really focusing on the redesign of Key's hair. The ironic thing about this whole thing is that it was done as a beach scene, but the song I was listening to while I was drawing it was "Winter Again" by Glay. As you can imagine the song involved imagery of Teru's snowy home located on the snowy island of Hokkaido, Japan. Either way I think the song helped me power through this drawing.

In other news I did get to meet up with Tom when he came back to settle his Work Visa issues. We spent Wednesday going all OVER Manhattan. We went as far north as west 131st Street and as far south as the Brooklyn Bridge. For those of you not familiar with NYC, this is a huge distance that pretty spans the entire island. Still despite the fact that it was a bummer that Tom had to come back just for that, I think we had fun. We ate lunch at Dinosaur BBQ and it was definitely good eats. I saw Tom off at the airport and managed to time my return trip so that I got home at the same time as my brother.

Labor Day Weekend is coming up and am going to try and keep busy during it. I should be feeling a lot better after the weekend since that would mark the time I would have comeback from Syracuse had people not turned insane. So expect a late update or just the one on Thursday. Hopefully I can get a comic done, but again I won't promise anything just yet. I'll see how I feel after this weekend happens.
