"Did you say prizes?" Friday July 27th, 2007

Before we get to the comic I have some craziness coming up all of August so bear with me. First, my cousin and her daughter will be staying with us for a while. Second I will be taking a trip to Albany and Rochester to have Tom's going away party before he flies over to England. Second, I will be taking the last two weeks off of August to go to the NYS Fair. I love the fair. Also I am going to be working some nutty hours at the restaurant so be forewarned that my spotty update schedule will continue. Though I plan to help ease that somewhat, but I'll talk about that after I talk about the comic. You may want to stick around since it involves free stuff! Yeah...

I think an interesting point to make about this comic is that unlike the fight that occurred on Crescent Moon island in Chapter 3 where I pitted the unconventional George vs Yuki and Tom vs Joe and everyone expected the opposite, this time the matchups so far seem to fall under what people had been thinking was going to happen. Does that mean it will continue? I'll go into what is going down in the throne room in the next comic. It's been awhile since I have been able draw Kris and Dave in action, well actually to draw Kris at all. I like both characters and I'm happy to have them back into the comic. Some of you Dave fans may have been disappointed with Dave's "screen" time since Chapter One, but don't worry as everyone's favorite Super Mega Ultra Genius will have some more depth added to him in Chapter 6. In the meanwhile you have one kick ass fight to look forward to.

Now on to what I was talking about before. As you may or may not know I went to Otakon this year with a bunch of free swag to give out. Despite some of the great people I did meet like Christine and Hayley, I do have a few things left over. Namely about 4 small prints of some comic panels. Now they may have been printed out at home, but they look REALLY nice. I received compliments about them from people who didn't even know the comic. So since it wouldn't do to have these things go to waste, I want to offer them as prizes to the people who couldn't be at Otakon 2007. If you were one of the few who got one at the Con, you will not be excluded from being able to win another one. Just send in an entry!

So what's the contest? It's actually pretty easy. I call it the "Where in the World is Misaki Yuki?" Contest. I drew up a quick chibi Misaki Yuki picture. All I want you to do is print it out and take a picture of yourself or some friends with the Misaki Yuki chibi in front of some local landmark or famous location. The picture MUST include the Misaki Yuki Chibi drawing AND some sort of signage to indicate the location of where the picture was taken. I will close the contest in a week's time or when I get 4 pictures. If I get more than 4 pictures, I will select my favorite four as the winners. Each winner will get an autographed print mailed to them as a very cool prize.

"Where in the World is Misaki Yuki?" Contest Details

1. Here is the link again to the Misaki Yuki picture... High Res or Low Res. Download it and print it out. It should fit on a regular sheet of paper.

2. Take a picture of yourself or some friends with the Chibi Yuki in front of a local landmark with signage clearly visible.

3. Email me the picture at River@ninja-spirit.com.

4. If your entry is picked as a winner, I will contact you and ask you for shipping info so I can mail you your prize.

I think that's all I got for now. I am going to NJ to pick up my cousin's daughter at the airport first thing in the morning and I'll probably be spending time with her throughout the weekend. I hope you are all enjoying yours and I will see you hopefully on Monday.

River says again, the bike isn't a part of the contest.
