"Crazy week..."
Wednesday June 13th, 2007
Okay I am back, you can call off the hounds. For all of you who have
asked, I want to pass along that Gai is much better. He can now sit and
his wound is healing nicely. He is still taking antibiotics so he
still gets a little sluggish after taking those, but otherwise he is
back to his usual tomfoolery. So I thank you for caring about my dog and
Gai thanks you for the well wishes.
Now on top of going to Albany for the weekend I was killed by having
to work at the last minute on Monday coupled with going with my parents
to Sloan-Kettering in the City. So basically the return of the comic was
pushed back to Thursday. It's been crazy around here this month and I
have no idea why. Hopefully I can get back on track and resume my usual
updating schedule.
Now about the comic... I just want to mention that Joe has to make
the tough decision here. He knows there might be a chance to still save
Kentan, but realistically he knows the only real choice is to get the
hell out of there before everything goes to kingdom come. Tom is the
rock of the group, but it is the realist in Joe who has to make the
tough decisions. As for Kentan, I have to say that this pretty much
completes his journey. He became someone stronger than even he could've
imagined even without the power gained from Amatsu.
I also want to mention that I liked the way P2 and P3 turned out. I
tweaked the way I draw Key's hair from the time I drew the Harry
Potter/NS filler image. I like the way it turned out and I have turned
to drawing her hair like that from now. As for Joe in P3, I really don't
know what I did differently, but I just liked the way it turned out.
For those of you interested in my past weekend, here is the quick
recap. On Wednesday, Rob showed up on my doorstep. That night we ate at
Gasho's where Rob finally had good hibachi and not fake hibachi.
Thursday we went into the city and went to the Museum of Natural Science
and History. There was a special Mythical Creatures exhibit that we went
to while we were there that was sweet. Afterwards we met up with Lord
Hawk himself and he led us to a couple of different stores. Dave took us
to Serendipity for dinner and the food was really good. Definitely
better than Jekyll and Hyde's. We walked down Times Square for a bit
before heading home. On Friday, Rob and I drove up to Albany and met up
with Tom. Tom was going to be the lead in a local production of "Over
the River and Through the Woods". So we went to see his play on Friday
night and it was frickin hilarious. I suppose it would be funnier for
Joe or the Italian mudblood, The Kelly, but I enjoyed it all the same.
On Saturday we went to the Secret Caverns in the day and the Witch's
Grave at night. Good times. I got back home late Sunday night. I went to
work on Monday and about ten minutes before I was about to leave, my dad
tells me he needs me to work dinner too. Ugh. Well I spent yesterday
playing catch up on the comic after work and finished it today. That's
the rundown of my past week.
Tomorrow, I'll be heading into the City where I will be making
Stratusfox jealous by going to the Yankees vs. DBacks game. Yeah, you
heard me you crazy DBacks Girl. Dbacks in Yankee Stadium, Box seats. The
tickets were given to my dad from work and so off we'll head to the
House that Ruth built tomorrow for the 1 PM game. Now the real question
is who do I root for? I am obligated to root against the DBacks
because they are ahead of me the standings (damn you birthday wishes!! I
have cursed my Giants to last place!!) and as the Sports Guy says, to
root for the Yankees is like rooting for the House in Blackjack. A moral
quandary is what we have here. Can you go to a baseball game and hate
both teams? I'm about to find out. I'll be sure to take pictures for
those of you who happen to like either of these teams... may your chosen
deity spare you for your sins against humanity.
Well that is about that. Almost time to head back to Japan, but we
have a little bit left to wrap up before we do so. Have a great weekend
all!!
