"Homecoming redux"
Thursday - January 18th, 2007
Well we leave the land of the rising sun and head back to good ole
Kawasaki yet again. It's that time of year for the kids and that means
it's time for a dance. In case you've forgotten Joe has asked Key to go
with him to Homecoming Dance, but to cover his nervousness asked her as
a friend. As you recall Key went to Homecoming Dance the year previous
with Yuki. Despite her current state with Misaki, the date actually went
rather well for her. She even thought Yuki might have been trying to
tell her he liked her. (In truth he was trying to tell her he liked
Hello.) So let's see if this one shapes up to be as good if nor better.
As you might also recall, the last Kawasaki Homecoming Dance was cut
short when Tom Brisket came rampaging in looking for Yuki. Obviously,
Tom is not going to crash the party this year (or is he?), but if you
have learned anything, it's that whenever kids go to a dance, something
happens. Usually it entails a bit of teen drama or melodrama if you're
looking back at it. Sometimes even people getting into fisticuffs.
Something usually happens. Who am I to buck the trend and cliches?
I would keep your eyes open because this next sequence in the story
is about to get good for everyone. You want romance? Check. You want
drama? Check. You want some ass kicking? Check. You want to see
something that's completely new? Check. You want to see some mysteries
solved? Check. You want some new mysteries? Check? You want some twists?
Check. You say you want even more death? Well check that. What can I
say? High School Dances are where it's at.
The scary thing? The chapter isn't over after all that. In fact it's
only about 1/2 to 2/3rds done after all the above. Yeah.
