"I see dead people" Thursday - January 11th, 2006

Not to be morbid, but I the title of the rant is not theoretical. I was driving my brother for an appointment and along the way we got slowed down due to what looked to be an accident. As we got to where things were going down, the first thing I notice is this lady sitting in the middle of surrounded by a few people. There's a bunch of cars pulled over to the sides of the road, but no police yet. Then I look over to the side of the road and there's a group of people standing over what appears to be someone lying down with a blanket draped over them and it appears as if no one really wants to look down at the covered person. It was a surreal experience. I hope the person really wasn't dead, but everything about the scene and even the VIBE itself indicated otherwise. It send shivers down my spine.

To continue with the morbid discussion we segue right into today's comic. If you thought the last one was bloody, well Sydney didn't think it was bloody enough. I'm not saying this fight is over yet, but the house says don't bet on it continuing. And just so there's no confusion, Sydney placed this particular hair on Izumi's neck in the last comic under the pretense of choking Izumi. I also wanted to mention that I was pleased with P7 too. A very cool pose that I couldn't quite script right. Ah well...

Oh and the title for this comic does come from a comment left on the NS forum.

I hope you all have a great weekend. I'll be heading to one of the last George-inclusive Hyjinx shows tomorrow and I'm going to take it in for all its worth. For every good comment I've gotten about my art, I'm sure George has gotten five times as many compliments about his musicianship. To say he's a good bass player isn't the whole story. I've always liked George's songwriting and hope that regardless of where he is in life, he continues to write music. So I'll be rocking out to Hyjinx and I'll see you all on Monday!

River is gonna be jumping at the Hyjinx show.
