"Getting the hang of it" Wednesday - October 25th, 2006

Wow, I forgot how fun drawing the comics can be. I had a little fun with this one. Masamune's expression in P7 started out really comical and I had to tone it down a bit. For having a touch of romance in this comic, I also don't get to draw too many couples either. So it was fun to draw Yuki and Syd. Although I guess this we'll have Dave and Jules later on as well. Maybe one more? Heh...

Anyway this should explain what Yuki, Izumi, and Syd have been doing in Japan for the summer. I'm still on the fence on whether the next comic is necessary to the plot. If it is then we'll have one last Yuki in Japan comic, before we head off to different locales. Where you say? you'll just have to come back to find out. Oh and I apologize for the confusing title for the comic. It's kinda old school. If you got the reference I tip my fedora hat off to you.

Before I bid you adieu till Monday, I wanted to mention a few things that have been occupying my time recently. First we have television. Lost has been good like it usually is. however I think the new show of the season that I love to watch is Heroes. If you haven't gotten a chance to see it, do so. I didn't think it was that great after the first episode, but it's gradually getting better and better. It's a TV show about superheroes saving the world, but it's done superbly well. Now it's become one of those '24' shows. The shows you are constantly looking at the clock while the show is going on and you're like ' yes!! still 20 minutes to go!' or ' Crap!! only 5 minutes... commercial?! WTF?!'. It'd be better if you watched it from the beginning, but this is one of those shows where you should do so.

The other thing I wanted to recommend is something that's been out for awhile now, but I never had a chance to pick up. The Phobia album by Breaking Benjamin. It's fricking bad ass. I've been listening to it the entire week. Give it a listen folks.

River jumping along to Breaking Benjamin.
