"Still taking a while..." Sunday - October 22nd, 2006

Okay while I am getting a little more into the swing of things, it's still taking me longer than usual to finish a comic. It's really my OCD like behavior that's at fault. I mean now that I know how to use the pen tool, I can't just leave any line alone. So my line art should be less jaggy and uneven because I know spend more than a few hours going over it. I don't know how long it'll last because I don't know how much better the line art is. I mean for the time put in, it might not be that noticeable of a difference as say the highlights which takes a fraction of the time, but brings alot more to the table. Ah well...

Anyway as for the story, in case you are confused this comic takes place two months before the last comic and a month after Yuki, Sydney, and Izumi flew to Japan. It's basically going to tell the story of how Yuki meets Masamune and how the swords master decides to repair the Hyourinken. Plus you get to see Yuki with his crazy long hair before he cuts it. Also I just noticed this and I don't know if you will, but I figure I should mention this if you have. The last panel looks 'odd' because Masamune looks like he's getting undressed, but he's only removing his hammer arm's sleeve which is an archaic fashion style for a Japanese sword smith or swordsman. You'll see what I mean in the next comic.

So with that, I'll see you on Thursday!!

River is puzzled about how long a comic now takes to make.
