"Lots of drawing" Sunday - September 24th, 2006

I'm sure you can figure it out, but today's sketch is of Kris Fox-Albrecht. We haven't seen too much of Kris in Chapter 4, but expect him to surface in the upcoming chapter and once again cause headaches for our heroes with his cunning and genius toppling strategies.

I've been busy with the NS stuff recently so I'll give you a rundown of how its progressing. I've got about 17 out of the 20 new profile pictures done for the cast page. The same goes for the actual info in those cast pages themselves. I've gotten through the first 20 NSCCG cards for the forum done as well. Future updates that need to happen are an update on the quizzes, banners, fanart, and wallpapers in the Bonus section as well as minor touch ups in other portions of this site. As soon as I finish that then you should see the beginning of Chapter 5.

Speaking of Chapter 5, lets resume talking about predictions that have been surfacing up in the NS Forum. Tora Mabushii was pretty active as she went from saying there's Kelly might be Kimen. This spawned a whole other debate to as what and who Kelly really is. So for sanity's sake allow me to clarify things that I may have left a little obscure.

The goddess Amaterasu reincarnates herself on Earth every hundred years or so to stop her foes. In this century, Amaterasu chose Kelly as her reincarnation. Up to the point where Kelly agreed to become Amaterasu she was a normal girl. Amaterasu herself appeared to Kelly on various planes of mind and matter to show her the weight of her task and mission. Most reincarnates accept their fate since it is not only a great honor, but when faced with the fact they are responsible for the world good, they comply. Kelly however resisted for reasons involved with events in her past. However upon meeting Key and George decided to become the goddess at which point she remained the human being known as Hello Kelly, but was tapped into the spirit of the goddess Amaterasu. She was in essence Amaterasu and Kelly at the same time. She was blessed with knowledge and powers beyond a mortal, but given a mortal's mind to grasp the plight of life of everyone and everything and to do what was right or wrong. I hope that makes sense. I know it's a bit confusing, but the angle I'm going for is that Amaterasu in her wisdom knew she could not comprehend or sympathize with the very life she sought to protect because she was a deity. By reincarnating her spirit in a human she was able to have her powers, but gain the perspective and human heart that she felt was needed to do what was right.

It is important to know that Amatsu being killed is not the same as Kelly being killed. Amatsu Mikaboshi's physical form as trapped in Yomi for centuries till it was recently freed. If this form is killed, then Amatsu Mikaboshi will forever cease to be. Amaterasu's true physical form is kept safely hidden away while her spirit resided in Kelly. Should Amaterasu decide to regain her true physical form she too can theoretically be killed forever.

Anyway I hope that helps everyone in what was probably a very confusing issue. Maybe on Thursday we can get to more actual predictions of what will occur in Chapter 5. To get your minds moving I will say the following things...

1. There will be a Homecoming. Expect crazy things to happen because as everyone know, crazy things happen during high school homecomings in any story, movie, or show. Hell even figuring out who goes with who is usually a major issue...

2. The Fuzen attack, but like any good leader Amatsu has decided to only send some of his troops into battle. Just who comes knocking on the heroes door and who is left behind will be a mystery that will be revealed.

3. Amatsu's plan will finally be revealed... Hints as to what this is have been laid in a previous chapter.
