"A sudden end..." Wednesday - July
27th, 2006
I was originally planning on having one or two more comics till the
end of the chapter, but I decided they would make more sense added to
the beginning of the next chapter. So here we are at the end of Chapter
Four or as I like to call it, the story of 3 Chicks. The underlying
theme in this chapter was how the heroes cope with the death of Kelly as
well as the emergence of three other female characters vying for her
place. I suppose this is as appropriate an ending for the chapter
considering that. In case you were wondering Jules did indeed cut and
dye her hair back to it's original color somewhere between P2 and P5.
Consider it thematic storytelling. I bet what you're really wondering is
what decision she's made. You might get a chance to figure it out before
the next chapter, but that's up to NS fans to decide.
"What?", you say.
In case you have forgotten I am going to be doing a short side story
before the beginning of the next chapter. The reason for this is that I
will ened up being on LI a bit longer than I anticipated so I will be
doing the side story as a means to fill space until I move to Japan and
resume the main story once I get set up over there. What will the side
story be? Well that is where you, the NS fan, can decide. I will be
running a week-long poll to see which of a number of side stories YOU
want to see. That's right, the fans will decide. You can vote once a day
starting today and running till the end of next Wednesday. The side
story will begin immediately after.
I also want to say that I will be moving back down to LI this weekend
so I will not have a comic up on Monday. Expect filler (for real this
time) for Monday. On Thursday I will announce the winner of the side
story poll and begin work on a the side story ASAP so you might see that
as soon as Friday.
Before I forget I want to say it's been a rough end to the chapter as
there have been lapses in the comic updates. I apologize again and I
hope you can all understand that things have been pretty tough. I do
want to thank my family and friends who have always been there for me.
My parents and brother never really understand why I do this comic, but
they think it's still nifty. Thanks to all my friends, Joe, George, Rob,
Tom, Dave, and Kris for their insight and help into the comic. I do want
to mention a special thanks to the people I left behind in Syracuse both
personal and at work. They will always have a special place in my heart.
To all the people in the bookstore who happen to read this, I will miss
every single one of you and I'm glad I managed to hook you into reading
this measly webcomic. Thanks.
