"Back from Vacation" Tuesday - May 30th, 2006

Sorry for the somewhat late comic guys. I spent an extra day visiting my friend Tom and Mark down in Albany. I spent the memorial Day weekend with them and it was a ton of fun. Video games, movies, and cookouts. Plus I got to play some softball and I have to tell you I haven't touched a bat or glove in what could be years. In fact that last time I touched either was back from before I did this comic or before I moved to Syracuse. However I was glad to see that I hadn't lost too much of my touch and managed to tie Tom with 3 homers. I think the rust was more apparant in the field than anything else. Judging fly balls is tough if you haven't done it in a while. I don't know who would be interested in such a thing, but here is an animated gif of my rusty batting swing.

However I should get back to the comic. Well I think we can all agree with Joe and wonder what the hell happened. I mean Dai was clearly about to kick Yuki's ass and not only is Yuki missing, but Dai's defeated? I'd let you in on the secret, but that'll have to wait for a few more strips cause right now we have Caine eagerly anticipating ending his interrupted fight with a spirit depleted Joe. Be sure to be here on Thursday when the 300th Spirit finally comes up. It won't be anything huge, but I dare say something unexpected might be there. We'll also have the finals of the Battle of Spirit voting up. The winner will be announced on Friday and then you'll finally get a chance to see the FINISHED Spirit 300 commemorative poster!

River be patriotic this weekend.
