Comic for Thursday October 20th, 2005

"Giants Stadium" Wednesday - October 18th, 2005

First things first. I gotta give my friend his due. If you are in the New York new Jersey area and like Soccer I encourage you to go out to see the NY/NJ MetroStars this weekend in their playoff opener. Even if you're not a big soccer fan I recommend you go to the game. Why? BECAUSE HYJINX WILL BE PLAYING THE HALFTIME SHOW. Now George is no stranger to fame as he's opened for the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and played the Warped Tour with his old band, but it would still be cool to SEE him play in a venue that arena rock legends have rocked in. So go buy your tickets and watch a great sport as well as listen to some kick ass tunes laid down by the brothers of Hyjinx.

Now on to the comic. There are a couple of things at play again in this one. First is that we see Yuki flinch when Izumi suggests that Amaterasu would never reincarnate here in the states. It's a knock to the Sun Goddess's choice in location and by proxy the person. So maybe Yuki isn't as emotionally dead as we think?

Next is the Koga Ninja Izumi Sakurai herself. She was perfectly ready to hurt and kill our heroes one minute, but when she realized what was going on she could just as easily put on a happy face and offer to help them. I only bring this weird turn around because again it's something that brings contrast to another character.

Just as a hind note, this comic happens to be the 250th comic for Ninja Spirit and that means we're halfway to 500. That's also about what two and 3/4 years this comic has been in existence? That's crazy to me. as always I thank you for taking this journey with me and together we'll aim for the 300 marker and the big events that will happen then!!
