Comic for Monday September 19th, 2005

"Kawasaki is in California" Sunday - September 18th, 2005

I don't know if anyone ever reads this down here, but for one more time let me mention that the comic does take place in America. Kawasaki is located right on the California coast. The reasons why the culture there is so Japanese is explained in the story section of the info page. I hope that helps to those who are/were confused. It's really my fault because it is kinda ambiguous where the comic is taking place.

As for the contents within we can see that Julienne begins her fight against Izumi Sakurai. In this chapter we have been told that Julienne has been pushing herself just as hard as Yuki has. Just why she does and how her hard work pays off will be shown in the comics to come. Izumi on the other hand shows just a tease of a bit more with a simple power. The Hyouri-ken is not to be confused with Yuki's sword the Hyourinken.

As a side note, I have seen both Advent Children and the Exorcism of Emily Rose over the weekend. If you are a fan of Final Fantasy and you have beaten FF VII, you should have already seen this because this movie was made for you. It kicks so much ass, my eyes started to bleed from what was transpiring onscreen. The Kelly was bored by it which reinforces that it should really be watched by those who liked FFVII. Still just an amazing experience overall. The Exorcism of Emily Rose was also a great movie. I think there were a few places where it seemed a little contrived. For example when the lawyer starts experiencing crap, but the rest of it was excellent. It wasn't a horror movie per se as it was a collection of scenes of what happened to Emily Rose. They do show both sides of the story in the flashbacks so you can take from the movie what you want. Either an exorcism happened or there was a scientific explanation for it all. I won't tell you what I believed, but I think it was definitely a lot better than I thought it would be.
