"That tricky Tom" Wednesday - August 10th, 2005

I really liked today's comic for some reason. I mean we get the cool segue way into our first Joe scene in Chapter 4 first of all. A lot of info about Joe in a comic that wasn't really primarily supposed to be about the guy. Turns out he disappeared right after Kelly's funeral almost half a year ago. He turns out to be in Italy, but just why is he there and why is he visiting some place called St Dympna Institution? Just to let you all know, there is no real St Dympna in Milan. At least not to my knowledge. If there was it'd be a crazy coincidence.

We also get a bit of Tom making his play for the lovely Julienne Berlioz. He feels confidence since they have a long friendship together and the fact that Jules has already mentioned she likes him. However he can't help himself and tries to make sure his rival look like he's into another girl. However for those of you who might be in the know about such things. It turns out that one of the biggest things that will get a girl to notice a guy is that guy getting attention from another girl. Granted such things never happened to yours truly, but being the crying shoulder for many a guy and girl, I've learned a few things. I'm not saying that is the case all the time or that it is even the case in today's comic... I'm just giving you, like Tom gave Jules, some food for thought.
