"Preparation for Spirit 200!!" Wednesday - March 9th, 2005
I can't believe number 200 is going to happen a week from now. Two plus years later and this comic is still around. I surprise even myself. I won't bore you with any speeches just yet as I'll be saving them for the big 200 next week. The new limited edition poster, which is like the prize for the Battle of Spirit II contest sans extra character and my John Hancock is coming along just great and I think it might even top the last ltd ed. poster. It doesn't get any easier to win free stuff folks!!
On a side bar it seems like Yuki is once again showing off his knack for coming up with new techniques again. Like he explains in the comic the new power locks on to an opponent by synching into their spirit. However unlike the Engetsu Zan which requires Yuki to physically throw his sword to attack, his new Engetsu Saihyou Ken shoots out a spirit attack at super sonic speed. While such an attack would be near impossible to aim, Yuki ingeniously used the tracking aspect of the Crescent moon to sidestep any such issues.
However it's all moot because Salem seems to be able to not only see the attacks, but block them appropriately. Not good for Yuki methinks. I'll see you next week where I'll be switching the action between the continuation of this beauty and the fearsome match up between Tom and Joe. Spirit 200 is coming soon to kick your ass hardcore!!
