"Super Bowl" Sunday - February 6th, 2005
I'm really running late with this comic thanks to the fact that I like a ton of you sat and watched the Super Bowl. All I'll say is that it went pretty much like I expected. I didn't want it to go down like that and I'll give Philly credit for even scoring that last touchdown, cause I wasn't even sure they would do that much. The whole game was kinda blah though... maybe we were spoiled by all the last few where it came down to the last kick to win the game...
My thoughts on the commercials was that the only one I remember was the Pepsi Light one where P Diddy gets picked up by the Pepsi Light truck after his limo breaks down and the truck delivers him to award show. Then everyone thinking P Diddy is starting some crazy new fad starts driving around in Pepsi Light trucks. The best is that Carson Daly just continues to make fun of himself and he knows it. It's just like James VanderBeek... they both acknowledge the absurdity of their pop culture status and simply roll with it by parodying themselves.
I suppose it would be prudent for me to mention that I have started a new webcomic and if you feel like checking it out then click here. It's a collaboration effort between me and my very good friend Joe. It's going to be a side project of mine and will be kept to a once a week schedule. More like a joke a week type a deal. It's not much, but I do it for the enjoyment I derive at seeing where a project with Joe goes.
And just so you know, Ninja Spirit will always remain my top priority. I hope you enjoyed today's comic. Hopefully the animated panel conveys some sense of impact. Does Dave really have Kris's attack figured out? This is the super mega ultra genius we're talking about here right?
