"Almost Thanksgiving" Wednesday - November 17th, 2004 Like always, I am heading down to Long Island next week for Thanksgiving. If memory serves me right, last year I did a Thanksgiving sketch that ended up taking me just as long if not longer, than a normal comic woulda taken. Plus it ended up having nothing to do with Thanksgiving.
So hopefully I will get the comic done early and be able to post it as normal. Otherwise, I might just postpone the comic till a later date. I'm leaning toward getting it done early to post as usual. Maybe even get a seasonal gift up there as well since Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday. Man, I can't wait. At any rate I'll be sure to let you guys know what the story is morning glory when I post next Monday's comic. There was speculation on the forum that I might do the old Dragonball route with this fight and have Misaki Supa Saiyan up and then kick Joe's traitorous ass back to fool school. As much the DBZ has influenced me, I have to say that this is not going to be the case. You might've already come to this conclusion after reading today's comic. Some might question why Sydney didn't come out to save Yuki, but it just goes to show more of the kind of person she is. Not everyone is going to jump in to risk their lives when shit is going down. Some people freeze. I think this helps bring up even more interesting questions. Did she freeze because she's shallow? Did she freeze because she was truly afraid? You'll find out eventually I think. But at any rate that end what could be the shortest fight since Yuki accidentally defeated Kappa back in Chapter One. Next week we return to the Sierra Nevadas where Tom and crew finally come to the place where they think the second piece of the Yata Shinkyou is. Things aren't exactly peachy keen at the shrine and we might... just quite possibly might have another hole punch through the chest type of deal. It'll be the dichotomy of chest bursting!!
