"New scanner is my best friend" Sunday - September 26th, 2004

So anyway after the debacle of last week, I still am on a loner computer, but at least I am now the owner of a nice bran new scanner. It works like a charm and I love how fast it actually scans things. This is what it must be like to not have to use a parallel port scanner... Ahhh...

This comic was looking like it was going to get done sooner rather than later, but I had to start messing around with new effects to make the fire effect of St George's power look pretty good. I think it came out looking decent. The fire effect in the last panel was done using a new transparency effect using a flame that I picked up in a handy tutorial. Nifty. I think I'm also closer to getting the hang of drawing Misaki's new haircut for the chapter. It was kinda iffy in the beginning, but it's starting to take shape now. At least I hope it is. Note some readers liked the way his hair was in Chapter 2 and I'm inclined to agree...

But hey St George looks like he's kicking ass. I guess there is a ton of speculation between the connection between Salem St George and George from Sprout. I mean they look exactly the same for Christ's sake right? Like I said before, there really is no connection between the two. Only you don't believe me do you? As well you shouldn't. I'm sneaky like that. Anyway I guess time till tell. What kinda crazy language did St George spit out? I'm sure anyone with a linguistics background will be able to deduce the phoneme structure to the appropriate language. All others may use the internet and figure out the same answer with just a little more leg work. Just a little.

So anyway, Yuki never seems to fare too well in these early fights does he? I mean in the past he kinda lucked out, but as any gambler will grumble about, Lady Luck is one fickle biotch. I, and by proxy yourselves will find out just how fickly she is in the comics to come!!
