"Are you ready for some football?" Sunday - September 12th, 2004
I have to say it's nice to have football season upon us once again. It's one of the few sports I can relax and watch. I don't have a favorite team in football and that makes it easier to play Fantasy Football. I don't think I can handle having to root for players on opposite teams than mine just because I have them on a fantasy sports team. Root for a Dodger or an Avalanche? F THAT. I'd rather eat chicken crap with cat urine.
There wasn't anything too special about the drawings in this comic. The usual nothing great, but nothing bad syndrome. This comic does clarify the relationship between Kris and Sydney. Future comics will clarify the situation even further.
Would any freshman guy in high school really back away from a hot senior like Yuki does? I don't know about you, but that first kiss with a girl was terrifying to me. It seems like something totally harmless, but I remember being bewildered the first time I kissed a girl. It was like I did it like it was instinct, but at the same time I had no idea what was going on. So in Yuki's defense I wanted to put some of that uncertainty and pressure in him after being confronted rather abruptly with a chance for his first kiss.
Did he kiss Sydney? Maybe. What was that crash? The glass case holding the Eye of the Phoenix. What does this mean? Something if you were able to figure out the riddle of the Eye from last week's comic. Does this mean all hell is gonna break loose? Woah easy there... I already gave away too much. You'll get to see what happens in three days!!
