"Allergies" Sunday - June 13th, 2004 I hate this time of year if for only one reason and that's allergies. Every year they hit right around the beginning of June and with the allergies come bouts of chronic asthma. That whole not breathing thing is rather enjoyable to me and not being able to do it sorta ruins your day. At any rate, I'm not quite fully myself right now. That didn't stop me from having a good time with my brother who had come up to visit me from LI. It's only the second time he's come up to see me and we had a blast. He got in late Friday night after getting a bit lost around Yonkers. He still managed to make it from the City to Syracuse in a shade over 3 hours and to say that's fast is an understatement. Saturday, after breakfast at Cracker Barrel we went mini golfing since we weren't up for the real deal. My brother kicked my ass and then I took him to Dinosaur BBQ for some good eats. We were so stuffed that afterwards we when we went downtown to get some drinks, we ended up turning right back around and coming back to my place. We had some drinks here before going to bed. On Sunday I got my revenge from mini golf the day before and won when we went again. Afterwards my brother went home and did it in a more reasonable 5 hours. So that was the story of me getting a chance to hang out with my bro. It was a fun time and I'm glad that me and him are as close as we are. But enough of that... today's comic shows the effects of having partied a little too much this weekend on top of my allergies running amok. With the exception of P2, P4, and P5, the entire comic is pretty substandard. All I can say is that we all have off days and hopefully, with the fight about to resume, I'll be back to top form. As for the story, Tom is not about to rest until he kills Yuki despite losing his best friend. Although Yuki got a reprieve, let's not forget that he was in a pretty dire situation before Jules jumped in. With little Spirit left to channel, Yuki doesn't have many moves left available to him. Will Yuki be able to keep his promise to beat Tom? A more obscure question is why is Tom so insistent on killing Yuki to the point that even killing his best friend will not stop him? Hmmmm....
