"Spirit 100 Limited Edition Poster now on sale!!" Wednesday - June 2nd, 2004

As you can see I have decided to resume the comic this upcoming Monday. In the meanwhile I finally unveil the limited edition Spirit 100 poster that is about a month and a half overdue. It might not look like much, but the problem was that I worked on this baby at it's full size of 300dpi, 25x23 inches. Everything took forever to do when working with a file that large thanks to my computer not being entirely up to the task. I kept chipping away at it and as you can see it's finally done and over with. You can click on the store link to the left to find the Spirit 100 store or click here.

As I mentioned earlier on, this poster will be available through the NS cafepress store for a limited time only. I figure the most of the summer should be ample time for everyone who wants one to get one. So the poster will be available from June through July. After July this bad boy will be pulled from the shelves. So if you want one, go grab one. Unless of course your name is George and you won the Battle of Spirit contest, in which case the poster should be heading your way soon enough.

Now that the official business is done and over with, I have to say that I had a great time this past weekend when I went down to long Island for Memorial Day. I hung out with my brother, Dave, and Mike for the most part. I just missed being able to see George play at a show on Thursday, but I didn't get his message till the next day and even still I didn't get into town till a little after midnight.

Saturday, I went shopping with my mom and I got her a flower for her birthday. It's a hibiscus plant and it's now sitting on the backyard porch. We also went out to Boulder Creek to celebrate my brother's birthday and he was happy with the Denver Carmelo jersey I had gotten him. The Kelly and I went and saw The Day After Tomorrow. It was pretty decent. I half expected it to turn into some cheesy action movie, but to its credit it stayed true to being a two hour PSA with awesome sfx. Even though some of the things that happened in the film would never happen like that in real life, I understood it was just trying to make an interesting visual image and it did try and make people think twice about the consequences of pollution and global warming.

On Sunday we went to the new aquarium located on the east end of Long Island near Riverhead and I thought it was pretty good. Not really big, but definitely a well built and themed aquarium. The ray tank was the best I had ever seen. The sting rays were not only plentiful, but you could also hand feed them pieces of fish. The side effect being that they pretty much came up to anyone with their hand in the water. They felt very slimy and soft, quite like Jell-O.

Later that night The Kelly, my brother, Dave, Mike, his girlfriend, and myself went to go see Van Helsing. Of which I can only say that it was okay. The sfx were nice and the story was alright, but it just didn't bring anything else to the table. Hugh Jackman was really good and the werewolves looked so much better here than in Underworld. Hopefully the people making Underworld 2 were taking notes. That dude playing Dracula had to tone it down about 11 notches. Whatever... we all know Potter is going to rock house.

On Monday we went to the Bronx Zoo for the day sans Mike and his girlfriend. The Bronx Zoo is always a fun time. I hadn't been there in about two years now so it was nice to go back. hat night we ate out at Gasho's and then headed back to Mikes to watch the Hypnotist. Not to be confused with that stupid Mentalist. Then we headed back to Syracuse the next day. Just a fun time all around.

So anyway I promise the comic will be back to it's normal schedule next week and I have a pair of good ones for you. All I can say is that some shocking stuff is going to happen which might include the following; betrayal, death, abduction by aliens, and a rap battle. So be sure to check out the comic on Monday to see which of these shocking events will unfold!!!

Vote for Ninja Spirit!!

River is very loved.
