"Getting psyched for the weekend" Wednesday - May 26th, 2004 Okay so the weekend is almost upon us and the most important decision still hasn't been made. I didn't get to work on Monday's strip at all so it's all going to depend on whether or not I can get everything drawn and scanned before I leave on Friday. I can still do the comic at my parents house on LI, but since they don't have a scanner, I need to get that step done to have a comic by Monday. If by chance I do not get everything done by Friday I will post a secondary post here and on the Forums to let you all know. Should this happen the comic will not go back up till next Monday June 7th. I will however post filler content on the usual Monday and Thursday comic days. So cross your fingers and hope that I can get this stuff done cause the next two strips are just crazy!! I can't say that I am exactly pleased with how this strip turned out. I mean I took my time on it and wasn't rushed doing it at all, but for some reason my drawing seems off to me. Maybe it's just me though. A good point is that Tom seemed to come out pretty good in every panel of this comic. Maybe I'm starting to get to the point where I can draw Tom consistently. He's a great character to draw since he's different from everyone else with his boxier head and super broad chin, but it leads to his head being too round or too long. I think it came out pretty good today. So Tom's counter attack begins in earnest as Yuki makes the same critical error that Dave made a week earlier. You'd think that he'd learn after seeing what happened to Dave. You can almost call it a bad habit that Yuki forgets small things here and there. Especially when he's just cruising along and all is well in the world. As you can see Tom may not be as quick as Yuki or as smart as Dave, but he's plenty strong and hellishly tough. the dilemma that faces Yuki now is that his only offensive move is the Engetsu Zan. Seeing as how around ten Engetsu Zan's used in rapid fire succession in the Engetsu Arashi hasn't taken Tom down, it's doubtful one more is going to do the trick. Will Yuki be able to take back the advantage in this fight? It's going to be very tough indeed!! Although all the readers know that Tom is after Yuki because he believed the latter to have killed his love Beth to steal the Hyourinken, it should be realized that Yuki and the others assume Tom is simply after the Hyourinken for Amatsu Mikaboshi. Which should lead to who Tom is working for and if you go back to a conversation between Tom and Julienne you'll be able to at least figure out who he isn't in league with. So now the question becomes how will Yuki be affected when he is accused of killing someone he obviously didn't kill? Is this fight over? Here's a small hint... no. Okay so I hope all of you living in the states enjoy a nice Memorial Day weekend!! I'll hopefully see you on Monday!!
