"Much Better" Wednesday - April 28th, 2004

Since I'm short on time I'll get right to the comic. I am much, much happier with today's effort than I was with Monday's strip. It's funny how skipping that second inking run can affect that final product so much. All the drawings came easily, but I had to practice one or two Toms and Julienne's since I hadn't drawn them in awhile. I even managed to get the Nick Tahou t-shirt logo on Tom's shirt and the Intermilan logos on Yuki's jersey. Key came out looking a little different than when I normally draw her, but I think she looks fine. I think it was having to draw her with her hair up from the Homecoming strips. I mean the weakest panel of probably P7. I know I've drawn Tenko better than that.

As promised Kelly's present has been revealed and it is of course a new Intermilan jersey for Yuki. Only in Ninja Spirit is an Intermilan jersey a valid ninja outfit. Not only does Yuki have the jersey, but he's also sporting a nifty new scarf. Sort of a nod to the uninjured Dave. So the big fight is about to begin and you have to wonder if all that hellish training with Tenko was good enough. That's not the end of the news though as Key Lime makes another appearance in this Chapter. This fight seems to be attracting quite the crowd. All we need now is Kelly, Reiko, Vase, and the two news guys  and it would mean that every character was in this strip. I need to get some sleep though so if I think of any more things, I'll be sure to post them in the forum.

PS- The month ends tomorrow and that means the bCx lists reset at around 12 midnight PST. If you're gonna vote once a month than this Saturdays would be the time! let's see if we can bump up NS after the reset!! And if by chancre you can't vote on Saturday, don't sweat it. I'm just glad you're here reading this!! I'll see you all on Monday!!
