"Fun in the forums!!" Wednesday - April 21st, 2004 Wow. I never would've imagined the forums being as busy as they are now. I can't ever imagine what it would be like if NS wasn't a very well kept secret. I actually like the chance to interact with the people who read the comic and to get to know them as more as just readers. Everyone so far is really cool and that's just awesome. I haven't been on there at all tonight since I was working on the comic so I can only imagine what fun I will find there in the morning. Actually nothing much has really happened so I guess that's it for that and I might as well get to the comic. This was a weird one to draw. It came out pretty easy and I was very happy with the way it looked after I inked it. After I scanned it into the computer I started to find all these little mistakes I made. Granted I make mistakes during the drawing phase all the time, but this was like every panel had mistakes that had to be fixed post scan. It was a pain. I actually think the Joe in P5 is the best I've drawn him in a long time. I think most people are less interested in the art in this one as compared to what just happened in the very last panel of the comic. I hope no one thought that Kelly would be taking on the world by herself. She does indeed have some help and she does indeed have a plan. Does her plan have anything to do with the fight between Yuki and Tom? Is Kelly good or not? Can Kelly get any more confusing? I will answer the last question with a resounding YES. Hello Kelly might just be the most convoluted character in NS and one can always expect things like the last panel to happen out of the blue when it comes to her. Now then, you are probably wondering just who the two cloaked strangers are. Not that I'm going to tell you all just yet, but I will say that 95% of the things in this comic that seem trivial and one time things usually are important. Observant readers could've figured out Kelly's real name way back in Chapter One just by reading into strange sounding conversations. Don't beat yourself trying to figure it out though, because I've intentionally made things near impossible to figure out simply because why spoil the story. Look at it this way. The clues you are being given do not make sense until you place them in context and then voila. Was that the most asinine way to avoid a question? Yes it was. Oh and I'd like to end this post by saying that Hockey Playoffs trump the playoffs for any sport. I've sworn off the playoffs for this year because the Kings missed the playoffs. I might sound like a loser by saying this, but just HEARING the ESPN Stanley Cup playoff theme music hurts. No matter what that music will always psyche me up and to hear it and know that my kings aren't in the playoffs... it just sucks. It's like hearing your favorite band play from outside the stadium and not being able to get in because you don't have a ticket. And now the Giants are in 4th place and ARGHHHH!!!!!! I hate sports.
