"The End of my vacation" Wednesday - March 31st, 2004 Here are the first ten songs played out from my entire library of songs set on random (no matter how embarrassing)
Well you know what they say about all good things right? Well my vacation is officially over and I'll be heading back to work tomorrow. It was such a nice relaxing few days where I got to sleep in and do nothing. I even played some Resident Evil Code Veronica X. I want to get the new online RE, but money is always an issue. So alas... I must wait. At least 24 stated back up again. My favorite show on TV is back with a vengeance!! I hope it never gets old, even though I know it will... but I'll ride this show till the very end I tell you!!! The Battle of Spirit is about to wrap up the final two matches of the Sweet Sixteen round this week. I just added a quote from the various characters still alive in the tournament that have advanced. Check out each character's tournament profile page to see them. Out of the seven entries only one has remained perfect throughout the first 6 fights. Props go out to Brodo!! Everyone need not worry though as everyone still has a shot at winning this contest!! In other comic news... the list at buzzComix has reset for the month so if there's any day for anyone to vote it'd be today. So help get NS the early jump in the list!! The vote button, as always, sits at the bottom of this post. I'm so glad that the night is over and the comic has gone back to daylight. It looks cool to have the comic take place at night, but the whole visibility issue was making me worry over small details that I don't have to worry about now. I think everything in Spirit 106 turned out pretty good. The big Spirit explanation panel started out with the Earth behind Tenko and the three smaller scenes behind the words, but I flipped them at the last hour. I think it looks better this way. Besides it was easier to see the Earth from behind the words then the smaller scenes. Hopefully everyone can read the words. Speaking of those words, I hope the simple explanation behind "Spirit" energy helps clarify things a bit. I had started throwing the term out there in Chapter Two and didn't really explain it till now. Maybe it still needs a bit more explaining? It probably does, but in terms for the comic I think that's as in depth as I want to go into. You might wonder that Ki/Chi is the same thing as Spirit, but it differs slightly. Ki or Chi can be built up through training. Spirit is a constant. Spirit is not just a force contained in life forms. It is ethereal energy that gave and gives life to those life forms. Any living thing is always attached the a greater Cosmic Spirit. When any life ends, their Spirit is returned to the greater Cosmic Spirit. The ninja weapons such as the Susanoyari allow someone like Dave to tap into this greater Spirit resource and thus create lightning. As such, Spirit is something almost any life form cannot manipulate like ki or chi since it is not a resourceable energy. Like Tenko explains, it is simply life. I can go even further into explanation, but that's as far as I want to go into for a simple news post. I hope I didn't go and confuse anyone by expounding what was written in the comic. I figured that I would give something for more than the casual strip-only reader something extra to feed on. Anyone who wants to talk further about Spirit can either go to the forums and start up a thread or e-mail me. But what about Yuki's new technique you ask? You didn't think I'd reveal it to you that quickly did you? Well Yuki still has 6 days till he has to fight Tom. Will Tenko be able to teach Yuki how to use Spirit in time? How will he teach Yuki to use Spirit? Find out Tenko's demonic training and see if Yuki will be able to even survive all upcoming this Monday!!
