"Back from the Wedding" Sunday - March 27th, 2004 Before I go into anything too serious I'd like to list my current ten songs from my play list.
Since this comic is a little late, I'll keep this short. My friend's wedding was very nice. Everything looked great and I imagine that the bride and groom were very happy with their special night. I sat a table with The Kelly, Dave, George, Marissa, and these three other people I didn't know. I did know the older brother of one of the mystery trio, but that was it. I think the most disturbing thing was when the mystery girl of the trio decided to sneak up into the balcony and start grooving like some bobble head toy gone mad. Right. The next day, the same group of us minus the mystery trio went to Gasho's, went bowling, and then went back to George's to play a round of Killer Bunnies and watch the Aliens extras from the special DVD set. The extras in the Aliens box set were amazing. It definitely adds another dimension to what was already a great movie. The only other thin I have to note is that I miraculously won both games of bunnies despite only having 3 and 2 carrots respectively at the end of each game. The Battle of Spirit also resumes tomorrow so be sure to vote for either Tom or Kappa. At first I thought that Tom would have an easy go about it, but seeing as how a majority of the Spirit 100 contest entries listed Kappa as their choice to advance, I'm not too sure. I guess that's why we have the matches right? So remember to vote and if you're in the mood click on the link below the polls to shoot off your opinions of the fight. Good times. I also want to apologize for the fact that there wasn't a voting sketch up on Thursday. I didn't mention that I wasn't going to do it and I feel bad about it. I'll try and do a good one to make up for it. Now as for the comic, I don't know if it was the time off this weekend, but I don't feel particularly strong about the art in this strip. It all turned out decent and passable, but I feel it's not up to par as the stuff from the last strip. I wish I could be a little more consistent. I will say that the panel I thought would give me the most trouble ended up being the easiest and the one that came out the best. That panel is of course the very first kiss in Ninja Spirit in P7. maybe it doesn't really count since it's just a peck on the cheek? Either way I thought it would be a hard thing to draw since I haven't drawn too many kissing scenes and it came out surprisingly well. The storyline of Strip 105 is a bit more interesting as it shows the interesting dichotomy that is forming between Yuki and Joe. Both are placed in awkward situations at the end of the night, but the difference between the two is like night and day. Joe did say that he wasn't going to take Kelly up on her offer, but will he give in to temptation later on? What will Yuki do now that he has failed to tell Keylie of his true feelings? Will he come clean or will he end up walking down the path of heartbreak for the trusting Key Lime? At any rate, Homecoming is over!! We're now going to head full steam into the second half of Chapter Two where the dollars are doubled and takes are much higher! Yuki's training begins on Thursday!!!
