"I think the Battle of Spirit is fun, don't you?" Wednesday - March 24th, 2004 Before I go into anything too serious I'd like to list my current ten songs from my play list.
First group in the Battle of Spirit has finished and while Yuki advanced as was predicted, Julienne pulled off the upset and defeated Tenko by the slimmest of slim margins 11-10. Today we have Dave going up against Kawasaki High's star linebacker Dawson VanBrocklin. Though I doubt Dave will have any problems, you never know what can happen. Anyway I just want to thank everyone who's been participating in the Battle of Spirit. Whether you're playing the Spirit 100 Contest or just plain voting to see your favorite characters go far in the tournament, I appreciate it. It's thanks to all of you that something like this Battle of Spirit happen. I have also added a link to a forum thread in which you can voice your opinion of today's match. You can post as a guest or take a quick minute to register, Either way sound off on your opinion of the match or why you think one character should win over the other. I'm starting a week vacation today and I'm gonna love every last minute of it. Unfortunately I already f'ed up by forgetting the anime Rob lent me at work. CURSES!!!!! I might just have to stop by there to get it and drop off some 'Ruto for Rob. Speaking of Naruto, props to Sei Tin over on the NS forums for recognizing the coolest anime to come out of Japan. Later tonight, I'll be heading down to Long Island to partake in my friends wedding. It's my first one and I have no idea what these things entail. All my knowledge about what actually occurs at these festivities in which two people are joined in holy matrimony is from second hand knowledge or movies and television. I do have to say that because I'll be at a wedding on Friday, the match between Tom Brisket and Kappa will not happen until next Monday. I apologize about that, but it can't be helped. I hope today's decent sized comic of a lot of words eases the disappointment. Did I mention today's comic? (Did you like that transition?) I really liked the way it came out. Kelly's expression in P2 speaks volumes about how she is actually saying the words in the panel. P3 turned out pretty good even though I was worried on whether or not it would work or not from that angle. I also loved the background in P6. I think the city lights of Kawasaki turned out beautifully. I'm upset that P8 didn't come out better, but I just couldn't get the expression I was shooting for down. Total artist's block. Story wise, I hope no one was really expecting Kelly and Joe to throw fists in a hospital room right? I'm sure you all want to kill me for having Kelly answer every one of Joe's great questions with an indirect answer or a question of her own. However the proposal gives Joe comes as a surprise, no? What's Joe to do? Will he take Kelly up on her offer or will he turn her down? Is Kelly with Amatsu or isn't she? Though you won't get all the answers, you will get Joe's answer on Monday with Spirit 105!!!
