"Kingdom Hospital" Wednesday - March 3rd, 2004 Reemer - "No, one time I was at this hospital, and I met this great
chick." Anyway I'm tired and I'm gonna get right to the point on this post. First off the only thing on my mind not NS related is Kingdom Hospital. It's a new show that's on ABC that's being produced, written, I don't know, but it's got Stephen King's name all over it. I thought it was really good. They showed two hours today and it was heads above anything that's been associated with King's name since IT. I recommend it to anyone looking for something new and different to watch on Wednesday nights. Here's the official website. I know it looks like a real hospital, but surf around a bit, and you'll see the usual King craziness start to pop up every now and then. Ughh... I had a tough time with Spirit 98. I'm not really happy with any of the panels. It was just one of those times when I didn't have the groove at all while I was drawing. Maybe it was the new blue lead I bought. In any case I do think that P6 came out the best of the bunch, but the expression of Dave's face just didn't end up fitting the emotion I was trying to convey with the original script. Seeing as how I was already struggling with drawing this strip and that P6 was the strongest panel that I had drawn, I concluded that it was easier to go and rewrite the script. Hopefully it works and there's not too many typos or grammar mistakes. So yeah it does seem that Julienne managed to calm down Tom, but it was Dave's super genius mind that came up with the idea that convinced Tom to eventually leave. I'm sure Joe's happy about that, but he seems to be taking the fact that he couldn't jump in to help Dave rather hard. Does Misaki really have or is in the process of acquiring a new technique or was Dave lying his ass off? Where is Misaki anyway? Is Joe going to jump out of the bushes now? You'll find the answers to some of your inquiries next week on Sunday.
