"That was a bit longer than expected" Sunday - February 15th, 2004

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's day. The Kelly and I had a great time and I'm a bit sad to see the weekend come to an end. We didn't do anything fancy, but go out to dinner, exchange gifts, play some games, and watch TV. The Kelly got the game Killer Bunnies, which she had been secretly lusting after, well maybe it was so secret, but the fact is that she really had been wanting the game. So we played it all this weekend and we're hooked. It's a great game and I can't imagine what it would be like with more than two players. It's a fun game that takes a bit of luck and strategy and one of the great things is that no matter how bad you're doing in the game, you almost always still have a shot to win the game.

I also finally got The Kelly to sit down and watch Naruto with me. We watched the first two episodes and she thought it was a pretty good anime. Was there any doubt? The translated third manga is coming out in April!!

We also watched Feardotcom. This was quite possibly one of the worst horror movies ever made. I mean sometimes you can still enjoy bad horror movies for their campiness factor, but this was just plain bad. The parallels between feardotcom and The Ring were staggering, and not in a good way. It was like the people who wrote feardotcom watched The Ring, got drunk, and then typed up Feardotcom in the middle of their drunken haze. Oh and throw in some Blair Witch type camera scenes as well. Words cannot describe how truly stupid this movie was at all. The good thing? We managed to forget about it after we watched it by playing two rounds of Killer Bunnies.

Upon closer inspection, I realized that I didn't like the last strip as much as I thought I did. I hope that's not the case with this one, because like last week I think this strip came out pretty good. There aren't any real big problems with the drawings themselves. P2 and P4 could've used some help, but other than that, good. I still like Julienne's expression in P2.

In case you're wondering, the Lightning Execution is a great technique, especially after Dave has been training for a month now. It just shows how tough Tom is.

Soaking of Tom, his weapon finally makes an appearance and if you guessed hammer then you were right. Tom's weapon is indeed a hammer and a fairly large one at that. One wonders how you can use such a large and cumbersome weapon. To which I can answer, wait till Thursday. Be sure to come back to catch the big showdown!! Susanoyari versus Tom's kick ass hammer!!! Don't miss it!!
