"Naruto is a wonderful thing" Wednesday - February 4th, 2004

Sorry I've been slacking a bit in the news posts recently, but things have been kinda busy lately. Let's start off by saying that I have finally gotten my Naruto Gameboy Advance game and it is sweet. It plays pretty much like any tactic battler and I have to say I am very happy with the end product. I've only been able to play as Naruto so far, but everything that was cool about the manga and the anime is in the game. Instead of spells, you gain Ninjutsu abilities and even with the individual abilities you can level them up so you become a more advanced user. For example Naruto's Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone technique) only produces one clone per use, but when you level it up once, you get another clone when you use the technique. No Ninja harem though...

You can also blame Rob for getting me into Trigun. I was doing fine till the 5th DVD and now the series has become cliffhanger city. Like Naruto, it's become hard to stop after each episode. Both Rob and I agree that Trigun has produced some of the most memorable names in the history of anime. Anyway, if you want to see a new series, I highly recommend it.

Now on to more NS related news... As you might have noticed the BcX voting picture hasn't been changed recently. This is due to a new idea that is currently in the works. I happen to have finally built up an abundance of unused drawings for the comic that just ended up not being needed or just didn't quite fit. So starting from next Monday, I'll probably be posting some of those pictures up on the voting page. Just so you have some interesting things to look at.

The art in Spirit 90 turned out pretty good. I didn't have any complaints about anything. I tried a weird angle for P5 and so it doesn't look quite right, but I figure you should always try and do different things once in a while. Not only to keep the comic visuals from becoming stale, but to continue to grow as an artist. I do like the way P1 turned out though with Dave in the forefront, Tom in the middle, and Julienne in the background.

None of you really thought Dave was a traitor did you? The Super Mega Ultra Genius comes through looking very cool as he steps up to take down Tom Brisket. Will Dave's super intelligence be enough to take down this powerful adversary? you might think this fight would take a long time, but it looks like it's going to be over quicker then you think. Do you think Julienne is going to play a factor? One would think so. The Dance of Death returns next week!!!

Vote for Ninja Spirit!!

River is tired out after watching too much Trigun.
