"Listening to 80's-early 90's weirdness" Wednesday - January 28th, 2004

For some reason my current play list contains some offbeat and popular songs from the 80's and the 90's. See if you can guess which songs... The hurt doesn't show. But I made this money, you didn't, right Ted? Know that there's nowhere that I'd rather be than to be here with you today, Woah woh. Girl I must warn you, I seen something strange in my mind. Gonna get down, good lord, baby got it bumpin all over town. Just like then, plenty of friends, and all the philly steaks you can eat. Tick Tock get off stop. Yeah I called ya fat, look at me I'm skinny. Girl you know, girl you know, girl you know, girl you know, girl you know, girl you know, girl you know, girl you know, girl you know. So come on baby, come on over, let me be the one to show you. Hush, hush darlin, hush, hush darlin. Maybe you're the same as me, we see things they'll never see. But if I don't make it, know that i' loved you all along, just like sunny days. So bob your head for paperboy and the ditty. This was our very first date, I didn't want to make it seem too small... we ate cereal.

Just to let anyone trying to figure that mess out, the songs are separated by the periods. Some are easier than others, but some are just weird songs that you might not have heard even if you grew up in the era. Try and do it without cheating and post your answers on the forum if you care to.

There's nothing really new to report. Joe's off in Kiwi land giving Americans a bad name, but other than that nothing new. Man what is it with this year's Championship games for the big sports. First it was the I-don't-give-a-rats-crap World Series between the Yankees (A team I hate) VS the Marlins (A Team I could care less about). Now it's the Super Bowl with the Patriots (The Team I dislike) VS Caroline (The Team I could care less about) You still have to watch since it IS the Super Bowl, but really... Oh and I want to say that the only way things could get worse for the Kings is if Andy Murray was in a car accident and put in a coma. I think the top 3 players plus half the team is out for the rest of the year. I hate sports.

I think I'll just talk about the comic. Anyone guess that Dave was making his appearance at Homecoming Dance this strip? Anyone guess that he'd be the one to give up Yuki? Is this what I meant by the traitor in the midst? Maybe...

I do like the way Dave looks in his new get up. Actually I'm pretty happy with the art as a whole except for maybe Tom in P4 and Joe in P5. Something just isn't working for me when I look at those two panels. Though the quality of the other ones makes up for it to me.

What to look for in the future? I'd say we have some action coming up. Tom finally unleashing some hurt on people. Also the return of Julienne of course. Some of you might have wondered where she went. She's waiting outside with Tom's "weapon". Is Dave really the traitor? Find out on Monday!!
