"Merry Christmas" Thursday - December 25th, 2003

Well turns out I couldn't get the strip up till Friday, but at least I let you know before hand right? I hope you all enjoyed the guest strip. I'll be putting up a fanart section as soon as I get enough fan art to warrant such a section. So any of you who want to send in any drawings and such of anything NS related please do so and I'll do my best to make you famous.

Christmas was great. I spent the day at The Kelly's and we woke up at 8 to open presents. I got a ton of cool stuff. Principle among them are a nice new 21" monitor from my brother and a Wacom graphic tablet from The Kelly. It's my new setup for making this comic. I love them both. I feel like it'll take a while for me to get used to using a graphic tablet, but I feel the payoffs will be worth it. Not that you may notice or not, but all the post scan work on P3-P6 were done using the tablet.

I also got a pair of PS2 games. I got NHL 2004 which I had been wanting ever since I saw it at George's during Thanksgiving. I also got a game I had always been meaning to get for quite some time- Kingdom Hearts. Now that Disney has become a full out street walker, this game is the last of anything rehashed to come from Disney. Not that I have any problems with anything new Disney might come up with such as Brother Bear, but this sub par straight to video sequel bullshit has got to stop. I loved Lilo & Stitch, but Lilo & Stitch 2 was so bad it almost makes watching the original worse. F'in Disney...

However, I will say that I heart the Kingdom Hearts. If you're a fan of Square and a fan of Disney it doesn't get much better than this. Plus how can you beat Kingdom Hearts Cloud Strife? Answer. You cannot. It does not get cooler than that.

Plus I got a bunch of other cool stuff that I haven't been able to fully get into yet which includes the First Season of 24!!! Jack Bauer is my hero.

Enough about presents!! Let's talk NS! Did anyone see that coming? Probably right? I mean we all knew Key Lime carried that crush on Yuki. I think Key Lime came out very well in this comic. In fact this is probably the most of Key Lime we're seen this whole comic. Exciting times for K.I.N.D. members!!!

Anyway I will admit that this little twist was inspired by true life events from my past. I did indeed have a major crush on a girl. I was in a quandary about asking her to a dance. I had finally started talking to her and her friends and was on my way to gaining the courage to ask her to the dance. Then I was totally blindsided when my crush's friend asked me to the dance before I could ask the crush. My answer in this comic will be the same I gave the girl many many years ago. This side story is to be continued...

Anyway will Yuki say yes or no? You should know the answer I think. However this is going to set up some pretty interesting situations regardless of Yuki's answer. You'll have that and more when Monday's comic comes around!!! Till the enjoy the holiday weekend!!

Vote for Ninja Spirit!!

River and Santa wish you a happy holidays!!
