"Chewing on stale Apple Chips" Sunday - November 23rd, 2003 Yeah and they're the cinnamon kind. You do what you have to this late at night. For those of you who haven't watched Arrested Development on Fox Sunday nights, you are missing out on a hilarious show. It has some guy who seems awfully familiar playing the lead character. The Kelly mentioned he was from some show where they changed the title of the show and blah, blah, blah. I don't know. She's crazy. I think she's right though. However I do recommend the show as it is written well and is very different from the other comedies that grace the TV scene nowadays. Speaking of hilarious things, George sent me a link to one of the funniest sites I have ever seen in a while and it's probably in my top 5 funny sites of all time. The site is called Homestar Runner and the man or people behind it are bountiful geniuses. The entire site is a Flashgasm of wonderful delight. There are a couple of movies, games, and best of all, Strong Bad emails. Be sure to visit the site only when you have a ton of time on your hands and only if you have sound available to you on your computer. I mean they even have audio commentary for one of the movies they do and it was F'in funny as hell. I can't recommend this site enough. I sat here for hours on Saturday night going through the site and I still haven't seen everything. Man are the hidden references are flying in this comic. Some are blatantly obvious and others are a tad more subtle. None of them are really important to the storyline and are simply odes to various things that I am into. I will say that this comic took some time to do as the backgrounds are a tad more detailed than they usually are. Maybe I should have thought twice before having the characters actually go to the football game... I am pretty happy with the end product though. What high school has a big screen replay on it's score board?! The kind of high school that is as big as a small university and handles the educational needs of an entire city. Plus they have some pretty generous alumni, one of which the field is named after. Still don't buy it? Hey, plus look at the corporate sponsors!!! Yeah... Oh and for those of you not familiar with how football numbering goes and were wondering. Dawson van Brocklin is a Middle Linebacker. Those of you wondering who the Phenom is, missed out on the first Kawasaki Shimbun newspaper article. Oh and Joe is back in case some of you are wondering who that guy next to Yuki is. As I had mentioned in my previous post, I will not be doing the comic over the holiday weekend. I will have some holiday fun up on Thursday though and something up on Monday as well. So definitely come by as you wait for your turkey to be cooked and served. Or if you like come by afterwards. I'll be sure to post my list of what I'm thankful for. One of which will be that they are coming out with a fully transformable Escaflowne. Sweet.
