Comic for Thursday August 21st, 2003

First thing is first, I want to apologize to readers of the comic for the late comic on Monday. I didn't get it up till around Monday night because of technical difficulties which resulted in the post having to be done at The Kelly's house. I try to keep such occurrences to a minimum and hope that everyone understands.

The students have returned to SU. It's a madhouse there and while it sucks the energy out of you, I'd rather be there for 7 days straight during Rush then be sitting at my old job. I was worried that I wouldn't have Labor Day weekend off, but I talked to the HNIC and it seems as if I will have the weekend free to drive down to Long Island and see my family and friends.

The New York State Fair begins tomorrow and I am psyched. I love the fair!!! I just love walking around and seeing all the different things. I look at the animals, I watch the shows, I visit the exhibits and buildings. Most importantly though, I eat. I usually don't eat the same thing twice during the fair. There's just too much to enjoy. In the past my friends have come up for the Fair, but this year I think it's just The Kelly and I. Just as well. Though I'm working tons o hours, I still plan to head out to the fair after work!!

Also, I don't know if anyone has noticed it or not, but I have set up a Ninja Spirit Forum. The link is located on the menu bar on the left right under the "Bonus" icon. The link to the site is also here.  provided for free by Proboards. I love the functionality of it. Very top notch for being free. However the only downside are the pop ups. Hopefully it doesn't distract anyone from using the forums. My good friend TMBGeorge of Sprout fame has even volunteered his services to be the MOD for the forums. As you may have noticed, the sun has set and we are now facing a sort of dusk time where it's not completely dark. I feel so much better with today's comic up. I couldn't stomach looking at 45 for much longer. The more I looked at it, the more things I spotted that were so wrong. By contrast, 46 flows well and has the bonus extra panel. It's not very funny, but I decided to try and go for a more real manga feel to this week's comic.

I think this is a prime example of the super mega genius of Lord Hawk. He is so smart that after analyzing Misaki's dodging techniques for a few minutes he can now predict what moves Misaki will use. I thought that would be a very clever thing for someone with super intelligence to use and prove that being strong isn't always the most important thing in a fight. In fact, it rarely is. So now we have Misaki with his backs against the ropes. Look for more serious ass whupping by Lord Hawk next week! Enjoy the weekend!!
