| "Madden 2004" Wednesday - August 13th, 2003 I have in my possession, a copy of Madden 2004. The sad thing is that I have yet to play it, since I am here writing and drawing this comic. To tell the truth, I don't mind. Drawing the comic is still fun and enjoyable. A couple of things to discuss really. My first thought would be about horrific ankle injuries in Slamball. You see on Monday night when I went to check the stats for the site I was flabbergasted. I had almost tripled my usual amount of traffic. I was sure it had to be a mistake of some kind. Found out where to see where visitors were coming to the site for and it turns out that a ton of you freaks were looking, and justifiably so, to see some poor man almost separate his ankle from his body. I guess the silver lining of this whole thing is that maybe I get some of you passerby's to see what's going on and that webcomic are out there. Hell if you don't like mine, then go right to my fave, RPGWORLD. This in fact, segues nicely into my next topic of conversation. OTAKON. I didn't go. My friend, however, did. He had a blast and I will definitely go next year with him. He even got to meet Ian J, the creator of RPG World. Sweet. The weird thing is that I found RPG World through random happenstance and it turns out that my friend George is in a band called Sprout, who's site had been partly designed by Ian J. Weird and wacky stuff my friends. The convention as a whole sounded like it kicked major ass. Hopefully I can get to go to the Big Apple Anime Fest since it just happens to be in New York of all places. I'm worried about being able to take the time off work, but we'll see. I really should make a link page to my favorite webcomics. I'll probably add it somehwhere in the info section. I just gotta figure out where. Hey, hey, Rob is being a bit of a bugger. Actually he is the mad man of being able to use Adobe Illustrator. I'll be the first to admit that vector graphics piss me off. It seems a little math-like for me. However Rob seems to understand it and be able to use it quite well. He managed to take the Misaki Yuki profile and redraw it in Illustrator and I gotta tell you, it's pretty damn close. Damn Rob and his mad Illustrator skillz! And on one final note, George also sent me a link to one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a while. I'm sure those of you who know George have already seen it, but for those of you who don't, then you should check it out. This is way so much better then Batman & Robin and Batman Forever. I'm supposed to be talking about this comic too I think. I get a fair bunch of positive feedback for that animated gif I used in Spirit 41. I didn't plan to go to that well again so soon, but panel 3 seemed to warrant using one. I am pleased with how it turned out. The rest of the strip seemed okay. I guess panel 4 looks somewhat cool. I was toying with the fact of making it a super panel and adding one more in-between that and 3, but time constraints hacked undercut that idea. But what about that spear huh? We all knew Lord Hawk would have some sort of weapon and it finally gets revealed in style here. The Susanoyari was originally going to be a shield, but the spear won out in the end. Yuki is as can be expected, not very pleased with this turn of events. Especially with the Hyourinken MIA. Some of you may be wondering where it has disappeared to. Everything will be revealed in due time my friends. I'm sure you're all getting impatient or this fight to start and I will boldly predict action to start next week. So be sure to check it out.
