"What if the guy from Smashing Pumpkins lost his car keys?" Sunday - July 13th, 2003

Thanks to Tom Walls, I have recently come to know the comedy of Stephen Lynch. The man is hilarious. He does the whole humor song comedy and he has a couple of very catchy little ditties that also happen to be very funny. I mean they might not be as catchy as Uncle Fucker, but very few things are. His comedy can offend, so don't check it out if you find yourself offended by shows like Family Guy or South Park.

I personally love the song mentioned in the title of this post. I'm a big SP fan, and I thought the guy did a pretty good job of impersonating Billy Corgan's voice. Had Billy wrote a song about losing his car keys this would have been it, albeit with a title like "Shadows Of My Metal Despair".

I picked up the new Michelle Branch cd and I want to say that I like it just as much as I liked the first one. I predict "Breathe" will be the next single off the album. All in all it's definitely a step forward from her last album and that's a good sign. I encourage anyone interested in her past stuff to go pick it up. Those of you who know me, know that I actually had a chance to meet and talk with Michelle and she's definitely a cool person in real life. So help a girl out.

Spirit 35 is yet another one with a special big sized panel. I can't tell if I like the strip or not. I keep switching between thinking it's not so bad to thinking it totally fell short of what I was hoping for. I will say that Panel 5 does fall short of my expectations. I just don't like the way it came out. I don't think I could've drawn it better, but I think I could've thought of something better to draw.

I definitely have problems with Kelly from panel 2 too. Though the Kelly from panel 4 sorta makes up for it. I'm constantly making tiny adjustments to Kelly's hair. Some of you might have noticed. I don't know. I just can settle on something I really like and works well.

That's it for now though.

River keeps digging that hole deeper.
