| "Wicked Garden" Sunday - June 29th, 2003 It's time for another relaxing weekend to come to a close. It went by quickly. It always does when you go to Tahoe's. My college buds Tom and Mark gave me a call on Friday night and it was determined that we would head out on Saturday to the Promise Land. We did and it was tons o fun as usual. Friday at work I got to go on a garden tour and I thought it was pretty keen. I'm always impressed with how good people can make their yards and gardens look. My mom is a big gardener and I guess I learned to appreciate the time and effort as well as the artistic merit of gardening from her. So I spent the morning with fellow employees to appreciate nature and man's never ending quest to make it look perfect. After the garden tour, we were treated to a free lunch and I am sure that I do not have to tell any of you that free lunches are always a bonus no matter where you are. In my experience, free lunches or buffets have always had one glaring problem. Not enough food. You went up once and that was it. If you were lucky you got some scraps left over to scrounge up like some beta wolf. This was not the case at SU. Food kept appearing as fast as it was being eaten. Not just any one item either, but every selection meticulously reappeared when previous portions had been consumed. The food in and of itself was also of a very high quality and I think it was one of the best free lunches I have ever had the privilege to consume. I am going back to Long Island for the weekend of the 4th. I look forward to seeing my mom. U haven't had a chance to see her since her surgery so I am definitely psyched about it. Okay on to Spirit 31 and the last week of month 4. As I had mentioned before, there were a lot of words to be had this week. Nothing really major in the story, but just some badly needed explanations on some of the powers and abilities Yuki has at his disposal when armed with the Hyourinken. I hope the explanation proved to be adequate. As far as the rest of the strip, I thought it went okay and I didn't really have any major complaints with anything. On to the next strip!!
