After last strip's rather serious and long post, I should mention that my mom continues to feel better each day. She is still in considerable pain, but she is progressing well and should be out of the hospital in anywhere from a week to three. Again I want to thank everyone who has continued to send me and my family well wishes.

This weekend was the first in which I can say that I actually relaxed. I had fun and didn't feel dread every time I let my mind wander. We went to Rochester for the weekend. We did the usual Kelly-River Rachacha trip. In other words, we went to Woofs and Purrs to play with puppies, did Tahoe's, then Wegmans, but unfortunately we didn't actually get to go out to Krispy Kreme.

It was a good plate and one that I had sorely needed.

For Strip 25 and the opening of Month 4, we have yet a new location and the return of Joe Lockhart!! Now I know there really aren't any Johannesburg fans, but the deed needs to be done. In fact it was fun to do the interaction between him and Lord Hawk at the Lighthouse. My only serious gripe was the art in frame 3, but other then that it seemed pretty decent. I am very happy with the sky, but I am a bit disappointed with the ocean and water. Too abstract looking in contrast to the rest of the background I think. Oh well, I'll continue to experiment and see what I can come up with.

Here's to a new month.

River feels psyched.
